American history: Federalist Era

The constitution convention was  a formal held n 1787 for the purpose of creating a constitution for the united states. At this meeting it was decided that the best solution to the young country´s problems was to set aside the articles of confederation and write a new constitution.

Constitution Convention (1787)

George Washington was unanimously elected president of the united states,with 69 electoral votes. He significantly influenced the path for the presidency moving forward, setting standards in all aspects, including political power, military practice, and economic policy. 

Washington Election (1788)

The formal, ending of a process of setting a constitution power. Served the necessary function of informing the public of the provision of the proposed new government.

Ratification of constitution (1788)

The democratic-republicans was an american political party founded by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison in early 1790´s that championed republicanism, political equality, and expansionism. 

Democratic-Republicans (1791)

The whiskey Rebellion was a 1794 uprising of farmers and distillers in western pennsylvania in protest of a whiskey tax enacted by the federal government. The first test of federal authority in the United States.
