Once upon a time, there was a soldier by the name of Macbeth. Macbeth was very brave and powerful.

On his way home from a battle, 3 witches appeared in front of him. They told him that he would eventually become King of Scotland after being given the title, Thane of Cawdor.
When Macbeth went back to the city, he met with King Duncan and he was promoted to Thane of Cawdor. Macbeth was very happy, but also very surprised because the witches were right.

Macbeth then went home to his wife and told her what had happened. She fell in love with the idea of being royalty and convinced Macbeth to steal Duncan's crown.

That same night they came up with a plan and invited the King and all their friends to a dinner party. Their plan was to wait till all the guests had gone to sleep and steal the crown in the middle of the night.

When everyone had fallen asleep, Macbeth went into King Duncan's room and took the crown off his head.

As soon as Macbeth put the Crown on his head, he was named King of Scotland.

When everyone woke up, Macbeth told them that he was now king, and they must listen to him. Everyone agreed except Macduff and Banquo.

Banquo was the first one to get mad that Macbeth had become King, and so he decided to steal the crown from him.

When Macbeth went to sleep, Banquo went into his room and tried to take the crown off his head. While taking it off, Macbeth woke up and caught him red-handed.

Henceforth Macbeth banished Banquo and his son Fleance from Scotland.
