CAMBODIA

Finally! After ages of waiting, our family arrived in beautiful country called Cambodia. Stepping out of the plane at Phnom Penh International Airport, we could feel the hotness in the air. Never experiencing that kind of weather before, my siblings and I were totally excited. Passing through immigration and baggage claim, we were talking animatedly about our new environment and new people around. Our parents were concern about our safety because we have never been there before.

Actually, we were supposed to take a vehicle called ‘tut-tut’ to check in at the hotel. When we asked random tut-tut driver about the price, he looked at us with a puzzled expression. He started answering us in their language, which of course we do not understand. But, my father managed to answer him and finally we reached our hotel safely. It was a bit past lunch time when we have done checking in our hotel. Everybody's stomachs were grumbling. Luckily, after checking in, we were going to have our lunch and a bit of sightseeing. We walked around nearby. There was a row of vending machines which sold various snacks and beverages, including ice-creams, and instant noodles. My mother had a craving for Nescafe, so she spent her first dollar money on that.

At the restaurant, delicious meal was already spread out for us. Before we went to Cambodia we were concerned about the food. However, Cambodia’s food turned out to be awfully delicious. Their milkshake also tasted really sweet and fresh. There was also hot and scrumptious miso soup. Since my sister and brother did not like it much, I finished up theirs. I gulped the warm soup down my throat. For me, it was really tasty. Actually the life in Cambodia was really relaxing and fun.

SHOPPING
Besides, shopping in Cambodia was also different compared to Malaysia. It is because, the malls were packed with small shops and stalls on every floor. Nevertheless, I found shopping at their malls more enjoyable, especially because we could haggle the price. Their specialties were crystals, fabrics and outerwear. Moreover, we also liked their night markets, mainly because everything at there were very cheap and in reasonable price. The only thing that make us disappointed was, the sizes of the dress and clothes are very small and they don’t have sizes for chubby, fat and overweight people.
