Once upon a time there were two fish named Sunshine and Yoshi.
The two fish friends lived happily in the Mississippi River.

Sunshine and Yoshi decided to go on a pirate adventure to find
treasure in the Gulf Shores.

So, Sunshine and Yoshi swam down the Mississippi River. To quickly find the
treasure, they swan on the outside of the meanders, where the current is faster.

Suddenly, they heard a cry in the distance.HEEEELLLPPP!!!!!

A beautiful mermaid appeared .

"Help!" she yelled. I was on a six month trip to the Baltic Sea and I just returned. But my
home isn't there anymore! ...Nothing is there. Please. Help me! I live just five minutes away-
in the Gulf Shore.

Naturally, they followed her.

When they arrived to the Gulf Shore they couldn't
believe what they saw.

"When I came back, I knew something bad had happened," the mermaid explained. "So
I went to the surface and that's when I saw the problem- fertilizer. When it rains in the
summer, all of the chemicals from the land run off and enter the ocean through rivers
like the Mississippi River. Then the sunlight causes algae to grow and well, it depletes
the oxygen in the water. Marine creatures like me can't survive here...no one can. So,
my family and friends left in order to survive. I don't know where they went but I know
if I can fix this then they'll come back."
