Buddhism was started after Buddha died when his followers started a religion based on his teachings and the sacred texts he wrote. 

    In Buddhism, the ultimate goal is to get to their heaven called Nirvana, to reach enlightenment and freedom from being born and dying again.

    Here are some symbols in Buddhism! 

    The Tripitaka is Buddhist's sacred texts, kind of like a bible. Buddha himself wrote these. 

    Buddhists believe to reach Nirvana they have to become the best versions of themselves, religiously, and applying it to their daily lives. 

Buddhists pray in prayer rooms at their houses as well as temples in cities and towns nearby. 

    A large population of Buddhists can be found in Thailand. Some different branches of Buddhism are: 

Theravada Buddhism: The path of the elders, living ethically, and practicing yoga and meditation to get to Nirvana. 

Mahayana Buddhism: For everyone! They slowly work to better themselves and reach Nirvana. 

Vajrayana Buddhism: The hardest and most strict, but the quickest way to Nirvana.
