Wawel's dragon is located in Eleftherias Square, in Nicosia. Hungry and thirsty after his long trip from Poland, he roars and breathes fire.
- What do you think that noise is? I am shaking with fear…
- Do you think that a storm is coming?
- A storm? Are you out of your mind? A storm in the middle of summer?... No way….
- The entire Earth seems to be shaking. Let's join our hands, together.
- I'm not afraid of anything. I am going to go and see what’s going on.

- We will come with you, Anaxagoras. You can't go alone.
- Oh my god! What a huge dragon! What enormous nails! And what huge wings!
- Run for your li -ii-ves! He loo-oo-ooks hungry too! He’s holding his hands on his stomach, as well.
- Careful, you are going to wet your pants! Stay still, I will go and talk to him.
- Watch out Anaxagoras, so he doesn't have you for breakfast! He's like the dragon we read about in fairy tales. Do you remember the myth that we read with our teacher?

- Hey, you! Stop, stand still for a bit and stop shouting; maybe we’ll finally manage to talk here! I am Anaxagoras, a student at the 3rd Primary School of Kaimakli. Smart and courageous and always strong.
- I am the dragon of Wawel (roaring), from faraway Krakow, terrible and strong and for people always the evil one…..HAHAAA! Get ready poor thing, come on, you ‘re tiring me! I'm hungry, as well!

-But how did you get here? Have you come through the Erasmus program?
- No way, Anaxagoras. Only good people come, through the Erasmus+ Program…..to Cyprus. People from Estonia, Portugal, Greece, Romania, Poland and throughout Europe!
-As my grandmother used to say, dragons are everywhere; they can travel to all countries. Remember the fairy- tale she used to tell us, about the dragon and the immortal water?
