There was once a monkey named Calabido. 

Calabido loved to played baseball, he loved it 

so much that he said he wanted to play mlb 

(monkey league baseball). Well he played for 

a while in his backyard but that was not 

enough for him, he wanted to play with other 

monkey kids just like him.

Calabido was walking to the store and saw a 

sign saying “baseball tryouts for the local team 

this Friday. Bring your glove, helmet, and bat. 

Well Calabido ran home as fast as he could and 

begged his mom to let him go

He did everything he could to get his mom to 

let him go. He cleaned the entire house, he 

even swept the roof. After all the hard work 

was done his mom finally said “ok, you can 

go”. Calabido jumped into the air and said 

“waaahooo”, he was so happy.

When Friday finally came Calabido ran down 

the local baseball field and he had all his 

equipment ready. He had on his dad’s old 

baseball uniform and cap. He went to go meet 

the coach and he said “hello coach, I am so 

happy to be here, I have work hard to get here 

and I will do my best”.

”. The coach smiled and then called the team 

together. They started with warm ups and then 

they did their laps. They ran five whole laps 

around the field and Calabido was the first one 

back. They started to warm up by throwing the 

baseball around, the coach was impressed by 

the arm the little monkey had.
