Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr was just 25 years old when he helped organise a protest campaign, and he was soon motivating black people across the country to have voting rights, equality, and other basic civil rights. Even when his life was endangered, King remained nonviolent and peaceful, fighting for the poor and speaking out against inequality.

Martin Luther King Jr also experienced racial prejudice at 6 years old.

Martin Luther King Jr also had accomplishments and had degrees from school. In 1948, King earned a sociology degree from Morehouse College at age 19 and attended the liberal Crozer Theological Seminary in Chester, Pennsylvania at age 21. Both of those are very hard schools to get into, and difficult subjects nowadays.

In 1955, King also received his doctorate degree (Ph.D.) from Boston University at the age of 26.

Leading the Montgomery Bus Boycott (1955)

And

Organizing Marches for Equal Housing in Chicago (1966)

The Montgomery bus boycott was a protest campaign against the policy of racial segregation.

 racial segregation is when people divide other races each other.

Martin Luther King Jr is a great inspiration for today’s civics education. 

“If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” This quote brought a lot of inspiration to people. From articles to news, that quote Martin Luther King Jr said actually brought so much motivation to people to do better in life and to push harder, get through workouts and even helped people look at life differently.

Martin Luther King Jr. was one of three children by Martin and Alberta King.

Martin Luther King Jr. married Coretta Scott King on June 18th, 1953 in Heiberger, Alabama, United States.

 Martin and Coretta King had four children, two boys and two girls.

The children of Martin and Coretta King are Yolanda King, Martin Luther King III, Dexter King and Bernice King.

Martin Luther King Jr died on April 4th, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee, United States.

His final resting place was at the National Historical Park.

He was assassinated by James Earl Ray.
