There is a variety of forests. Tropical rainforests are one of them. They are located in different places near the equator containing unique animals and plants. 

The rainforest is wet and humid,  and there are animals that people have not still discovered yet. Tropical rainforests have many resources that animals need to be able to survive, which makes the rainforest good for animals to live. 

But these days humans are disrupting the way of life so we are ruining the environment for plants to grow such as, not as much water reaching the forests as usual. So we should help the environment in any way we can. 

Animals  

Animals live in all sorts of environments such as these zebras on the left which live in the Savana woodlands or grasslands.  But in the tropical rainforest, there are plants and animals that people still have not discovered this very day. Some of the unique animals are Orangatangs, Sloths, and Poison dart frogs.

The term tropical means above 18º degrees. The graph on the left page tells us the average temperature of the rainforest near that location and the average amount of rain. In the location, you can notice that from January through May the precipitation amount is high but during the summer the precipitation amount has gone low. The reason why the precipitation drops during the summer are because there is more sunlight which would lead to less rain. But animals survive using tools or things that they have to survive during the dry season
