This is Landon! Landon loves to spend time with his mom. Today, she needed to go to a few stores to pick up some goods they needed. Landon decided he wanted to go to the store with her!

The first place they needed to go was the grocery store. When Landon walked in, he saw lots of yummy fruits and veggies. He asked his mom want foods they needed to buy. 

Layton's mom said that they needed apples, carrots, and chicken. Layton loved these foods and he knew that eating them helped him to stay healthy! But he also loved cookies. He asked his mom if they could buy some cookies too. 

Layton's mom said, "Well, we don't need cookies, but I think since we all like cookies and want some, we could buy a box!" Landon was excited and picked out chocolate chip cookies. 

While they were waiting to pay, Landon's mom told him that lots of people had to do services to get the food that they were buying. She told Landon that these people were called producers. She explained that producers are people who make or sell something. She said that the grocery store workers were producers too, because they were selling the food!
