Today was no ordinary day in Tuscany for 

the Grigio bunch, as the family was 

eagerly waiting to be painted by the 

famous Luigi.

Yet it was not all calm on this bright and 

sunny day.   "Giuseppe, you raisin," yelled his 

older brother.   Giuseppe was not really loved 

by his brothers and sisters because of his 

small size.

"Giuseppe, you couldn't 

even make grape juice, let 

alone be in the painting!"

Eventually Giuseppe had 

enough and decided to 

jump off the vine.

"So long," called his 

brothers and sisters.   Little 

Giuseppe walked away as a 

tear of grape juice rolled 

down his cheek.

As he walked away, he took one last look 

at his family, only to see the painter, 

Luigi, picking them off the vine for the 

painting.  

"They're better off without me," thought 

Giuseppe, as he walked into the forest.     

Just then, he fell into a big hole and was too 

small to climb out.   "Help," he cried, "Help!"

Meanwhile at Luigi's house, the rest of 

the Grigio bunch was getting ready for 

the family portrait.   The mom and dad 

were wondering where little Giuseppe 

was.

"Does anyone know where Giuseppe is?" 

asked the mom grape.   "Yes, we told him to 

get lost," explained one of his brothers.  

"Oh no! We must go find him!" exclaimed 

the mom and dad grape.   So before the 

painting was to be done, they both went 

out to find Giuseppe.

They walked back to their vine, but 

Giuseppe was not there.   Then they 

walked into the forest to look for him.

Just then, the mom and dad grape heard a 

tiny scream: "Help!"   They rushed to the hole 

it was coming from and found Giuseppe!
