To my favorite pup, Finn.

When I was 10, my family adopted a small, sick puppy from the ASPCA. He was skinny and had a skin condition on the tip top of his head, so we called him Scabby. We brought him home, and he instantly became a part of our family. My siblings and I named him after Finn from our favorite show, Adventure Time. Thus he became Scabby Finn.

As time went on, Finn healed and grew 3 times his size. Finn was always so happy and enjoyed sitting on his chair looking out the window. Everyday when I came home from school, I saw Finn's little ears pop up in the window as he sprinted to the door to greet me.

Sadly, as Finn grew up, so did I. I went off on my journey to West Chester University. Finn waved me goodbye and howled as I drove down the driveway.
Bye buddy!

Being at school was a blast, but I always felt like something was missing. I missed coming home every day to him waiting for me at the door with his tail wagging. It just was not the same.

Little did I know, Finn was causing mischief back at home. Finn ripped the couch and pillows, he ate my mother's homemade cupcakes right off of the counter, AND knocked Grandpa over! Finn was truly up to no good.

Claudia, Finn is driving me crazy! He has lost his marbles.
I've missed so much, what's going on over there Mom!
You NEED to come home.
I am on my way!

I arrived back to my house, welcomed by my mother and Finn in the front yard. Finn was beyond excited to see me. We reunited and spent the day at the park. From what I could tell, Finn seemed perfectly fine.

We finally realized that it had been so long since Finn got attention from all of us, and that is why he was causing so much trouble. I got busy at school and forgot all about my best furry friend. Trust me, it will not happen again!
