This is Donny. Donny grew up in a nice town in the suburbs of Los Angeles.

Neither of his parents work, but that’s ok because his family still has enough money where they do not need to have jobs to provide for the family.

Donny’s grandparents were very wealthy, and this money got passed down to his parents.

This is called generational wealth.

Now they live a life of minimal stress.

Donny goes to school with his best friend Timmy

Timmy’s family is not as wealthy as Donny’s. 

Timmy lives in South Central Los Angeles, and his parents work two jobs each! 

Most of his time is spent with friends or a babysitter.

Despite the hard work and dedication of his parents, Timmy’s family does not have much money.

Timmy and Donny are best friends. They do almost everything together.

They both attend a school that has children from wealthy families and children from less wealthy families.

One day, Timmy goes to Donny's nice house, and realizes that he has never seen Donny’s family struggle for money.

He asks Donny what it is like to be so wealthy.

Donny tells Timmy all about his great life.

This makes Timmy VERY jealous.

Timmy's experience seeing how Donny's family lives leads him to conclude that the wealth differences between their two families is unfair.

This is especially true, because Timmy’s parents work so hard, while Donny’s family was blessed with fortunate circumstances.

Timmy decides to show Donny what life is like for his family.
