Dedicated to all the Vacuum Cleaners in the world

Once upon a time, there was a smart man named Hubert Booth, and he lived in a small house in Gloucester, England.
He was educated at the Central Technical College in London, where he studied a three year course in civil engineering and mechanical engineering.

When he graduated from the Central Technical College, he placed second in his studies and then joined the Institution of Civil Engineers.

Several years after his graduation, on a calm evening, Hubert was walking past a music hall.

He peeked inside and saw a big machine.
He wanted to find out more so he walked into the music hall.
Hubert enters the hall and sees the big machine, but he doesn’t know what it is.

Suddenly a bald man walks out of the curtains.

Welcome to my amazing demonstration! My name is John and if you have any questions please ask them after!
Without further ado, let's get started!

John turns the machine on, points it towards a dusty chair next to him, and the machine blows all the dust off.

Ta da!

Everyone watching gave a round of applause, but Hubert didn't.
Hubert was curious and kind of frustrated.

Why did the machine blow the dust away instead of sucking it up?
When the demonstration was over, Hubert went over to John and proposed his idea.

Hi John, why don't you just make the machine suck the dirt up?

Are you being serious?
Your idea is stupid, ridiculous, and impossible.
Get away from me right now.

Hubert was furious, and he stormed out of the hall in a blink of an eye.

Super Duper Nice Restaurant
While Hubert was walking back home he saw a nice restaurant, so he decided to eat dinner there.

While Hubert was waiting for his food to arrive, Hubert couldn’t stop thinking about his idea.

So he tested his idea by laying a napkin on the chair next to him.
He put his mouth on the napkin, then tried to suck up as much dust as he could and spit it out onto a plate.

When he saw the amount of dust on his plate, he realised that his idea could work, and he was going to prove John wrong.
After dinner, Hubert walks back home and starts working on his invention.
