Zuri is a mirror.  She lives in Brightville. Zuri loves having many friends. When they are happy, she is happy. She likes to make them smile. For a long time, Zuri had many friends, but one by one they all moved away.

 When Zuri's friends left Brightville, she felt all alone.  She had trouble finding new friends, and this made her very sad.  A big, dark cloud formed over her head and it made her glass dark and dim.  When people saw her, she could no longer make them happy. 

When she saw people, instead of being happy when they saw her, they were angry and sad.  Outside of her house her neighbor, Bubbles, saw her and yelled at her very loud. This made her feel so sad.  What did she do wrong?

She left to take a trip.  Maybe happy people were in a new town. She went from place to place to find new friends. She walked through the forest and ran into a dog named Ruff.  When he saw her, he frowned, barked and walked away. This made her feel even more sad.  Her dark cloud grew bigger.

Further down the road, she met another dog. "Hello!" she said, but he turned and looked away.  Why did he not say hello back to her? It made her feel more sad, so her dark cloud grew even bigger.

As she kept walking, she bumped into a cat. "Hello" she said, but the cat just gave her a crazy look and walked away. Oh no! Does he not like me either? Maybe I should stop saying hello to everyone.

She kept walking to a new town near the beach.  She met a fish named Puff.  "Hello, I'm looking for happy friends. Can you help me?" Zuri said.  Puff stared at her for a long time at his reflection in her. "You look like me, but I don't like what I see!" Puff said.  Then, he went back to the water.  What did he mean? 

Zuri went to the doctor.  Doctors always help fix problems.  Maybe a doctor could help her with this one. So she told a doctor all about it.  "You have this dark cloud over you, Zuri.  Other people can't see you and you can't see them clearly.  You have to make it go away before you can make friends." said the Doctor.

So Zuri tried to get rid of her dark cloud like the doctor said.  How could she make this cloud go away?  Clouds usually go away when there is sunshine.  If she went somewhere sunny and bright, all of the sunshine would chase away the dark cloud. "I will go to the beach!" Zuri thought.
