Children in the military experience distinct obstacles as they grow up. They move more than any kid would like, and their parents spend most of their time at work for long hours, deployed, or even years away from home. It can be challenging but rewarding to experience new areas they never imagined.

My name is Nina; my family and I are stationed in Alaska. Unfortunately, my father told us that we would be moving to Hawaii. I don't want to leave; I enjoy Alaska, my friends, and my home here.

I am going to miss all the things we can do here.
My dad is a pilot for the
US Air Force.
Every time he has to leave for work, I miss every second he is not with me.
