I dedicate this book to my teacher, Ms.Zimmerman.

A pair of scientists, Mohan and Elisa wanted to go to the tundra over the weekend to find out how arctic hares survive in the tundra. Mohan was basically the nerd of the group. Elisa was super daring and never afraid of anything. They both knew that the tundra was cold, temperatures have been reaching -40 Fahrenheit in the night. So, they had to pack a lot of clothes, they were basically penguins. Mohan was a little concerned though.
“What if we get caught in an avalanche, or get attacked by a polar bear?”
“You will be fine, the chances of that happening are very low.” said Elisa.
So, they grabbed their luggage and left the base.
THUNKA! THUNKA! THUNKA!
“Come on, hurry up!” said the boss,“I don't want you to be sitting ducks until next week!”
“Fine, fine, we are coming”, Mohan said.
“I guess we will be on our way then, we have a flight to catch!”
Once they landed in the tundra, they were amazed.
“Look how beautiful the tundra is!” Mohan exclaimed.
“Yeah, it looks like a huge white blanket!” Elisa said with awe.
“Hmm, it’s pretty cloudy though.” Mohan said with worry.
Suddenly, it started to snow extremely hard.
“What's this”, Elisa shouted, “It was pretty clear a moment ago!”
“Oh I should have thought about blizzards!”, Mohan said with worry.
“This is not good, the tundra is flat, almost like a desert, this means we won’t have anything to hide from the blizzard!”
“Home Base, we have a problem. There is a blizzard hitting us right now. Snow is pouring really hard, it is all the way up to our thighs!” Mohan reported in his walkie talkie.
“All right, we will send a helicopter to pick you up, it will take about 1 hour to arrive.” said the personnel from home base.
“Blizzards in the tundra can produce over 3 feet of snow!”, said Mohan.
After the blizzard ended, they were covered in snow.
“I hear a squeal!” exclaimed Elisa.
They followed the sound until Mohan bumped something with his leg.
“Hey, what is that?” asked Mohan, “I see a small animal!”
