Once upon a time there was an octopus named Edward, who had a pretty great life in the ocean!

Each day Edward the octopus would wake up and search for breakfast. Edward enjoyed crabs, clams or snails for his first meal of the day.

Then Edward brings his food back to his den. (This is kind of like a bear's den, but smaller and in the ocean.) An octopus den is in the cracks of rocks and coral.

Edward chooses to eat his food in hiding so that he can stay away from the animals that hunt him. Like, seals, whales, sea otters, and birds.

After his first meal, he visits the surface for a mini adventure. Here he will explore tide pools, which will be filled with more tiny mollusks for him to hunt.

After 20-30 minutes Edward will have to return to the sea before he runs out of oxygen. He will keep wandering the ocean solo, though he may say hi to some fellow octopus and other fish throughout his day.
