This is about an underwater robot, who is sent on a mission to discover more of the ocean, and helps take high-resolution images of the deepest point of the ocean known so far.

Hi, I’m Water Wall-E and I am preparing to go into the Pacific Ocean!

I begin to glide through the water with a flashlight and the camera goggles I wear, seeing fish swim past me.

There is a slim, small, and rocky area that I haven't explored yet, but luckily I am the perfect size for the job!

I cut through the water and discovered a deeper area within the ocean that goes down deeper into the water.

I took a few pictures of my surroundings and pinpointed this location for later.

I report back with new and exciting discoveries!
It turns out that this might be the deepest known point of the ocean so far!

This point is called the Challenger Deep and is located on the Mariana Trench.

After finding this new information, I was sent back down into the ocean to go take photos of this discovery.
I relocated the area I pinned and went from there. I decided that it would be best to explore around a little first.

As I was swimming like a bird cutting through the air, I saw something swim past me.

I turn around to find a new, glowing, 3 eyed fish staring back at me! Its fins and tail are glittery with splashes of color all over its body.

The creature and I stare at one another for a bit, until I ask if I can take a photo.

Can I take a photo of you?

I wasn’t expecting a response but then he spoke!

Sure thing!

I give thanks to the creature and apologize for the awkward interaction, then proceed with my expedition!

I go deeper into the water and I have reached the halfway point of the trench. I am nearly 5,000 meters down!

I continue swimming with the rigid walls of the ocean floor around me.

I look down with the light of my flashlight, a sea of little glowing shrimp floating all around me.

I keep going deeper, and it feels like I am submerged in an ice bath.

5,500…5,550...5,600 I am inching closer and closer to the end.

My tether, keeping me attached to the surface, is allowing me to feel safe while going through an abyss.

I am 8,700 meters deep when I see a glowing octopus appear in front of me!
