(Exposition)
Crescent was ready to leave her parents to explore the world. After years of being sick of her parents' fighting, she was ready to free herself. Crescent had been full of bitterness ever since she was a child. Lack of peace at home was to blame. Crescent was happy to leave. Her parents were not feeling the same, but she needed a break from her crazy life.

(Rising Action)
Crescent's first stop was China. She stopped by a Chinese temple when a monk approached her.
"Hello, would you like to learn about Buddhism young lady?"
"I would love to!"
"Long ago, a man named Buddha went through a life of both extreme fun and extreme suffering. Both were his plan. Through his life, he learned that not doing too much of anything was the way to live life ("The Middle Way in Mindfulness"). Balance creates peace ("The Middle Path"). Do you feel like your life is out of balance?"

"Sometimes, with my parents. I go from only wanting all of their love to wanting them to leave me alone."
"My guess is that in your heart, you just want their love, but you are angry at them. Think about what I said. If I am right, then try to find a way to sort out your feelings. Love can be hard to balance, but I believe that you got this! I have got to go, but I wish you the best!"
"Thank you!"
After a few days, Crescent left China and started her new adventure in Africa.

"Hello! Are you the tour guide for the Candomble Exhibition?"
"Yes I am. Welcome! What are you most interested in?"
"I am curious if there is anything that the followers of Candomble have to say about family and relationships.
"Oh yes! At the heart of a good family is respect ("Candomble: Afro-Brazilian Spirit"). The younger family members are supposed to have great respect for their parents."

"Oh, I see."
"Why the sad face?"
"I just thought about all the times that I could have been nicer to my parents."
"Trust me, your parents love you a lot. Learning from the past is a part of life. If you treat your parents with kindness from now on, everything will be fine."
"You think?"
"No. I know."
"It's getting late. I have to close up the event, but I hope you sort out your family issues!"
Crescent's next destination was Britain.

"Priest, I need help!"
"My sister in Christ, I need to know more about what is happening so that I can help you."
"I left home in order to get away from my parents who have made my life hard. Now, after learning so many new things, I feel like a bad daughter."
"For one thing, I am sure that you are not a bad daughter. Sometimes, relationships are hard. Life is hard because of sin (Raymond). Everyone makes mistakes. It is how and if you try to become closer with your parents that will show how you are as a person."

"I would try to forgive them. Anything in the past that your parents did that hurt you shouldn't be forgotten, but forgiven. Forgiveness will soften up your anger ("What Does Forgiveness in the Bible Look Like?"). There is a wall between you and your parents. Forgiveness can break down walls that separate people ("Why Forgiveness Is So Important"). Forgiveness pleases God and it will heal you (Martin). However, forgiving someone is hard (Poor). I believe that you can do it!"
"Thank you so much! I will be thinking about what you said. Bye!"
"Goodbye!"
