Not every farm means to harm the plants and animals out there. They just want to help feed us so we don't go on with no food. After all, I definitely do not want to go on living with no food. It was weird my mom told me that plants have to grow with sunlight in order to be able to make food for themselves. 

I was living with my both of my parents on the farm where we grow a bunch of foods. From apples, oranges, grapes, watermelon, to even vegetables. I hate the vegetables we grow though. I have to eat them because my mom says they are healthy.

There was one day where I panicked because there were many people in white coats going towards the river and they had many tools with them. It seemed like they were taking water from the river in very small glasses and taking them back to study them. I was very confused so I asked my parents what was they were doing.

To my surprise they told me that they were going to test the water for nutrients. Nutrients is like the things are needed for something to grow and live. Like milk, it has a lot of nutrients to help us grow. I asked if the reason they are testing the water is because it does not have a lot of nutrients and this nutrients was caught by rain and was carried to the river. She called it runoff.

I was confused because I thought more nutrients meant better growing and healthy plants. I asked how this happened. My mom told us that they added nutrients to their plants which helps them grow better and faster. I was confused on how that was the problem because shouldn't it be better for the river.
