13 Colonies
Okay so we have to make this fun and interesting but this
is pretty hard to do so we are going to try our best. The
13 Colonies consists of 3 different colonies. New england,
Middle and Southern colonies. Each of the 13 colonies had
specific economic, social, and political development that
were unique to there regions and locations in colonial
america. So to get a little more educational we are going
to tell you more about each colonie. For New england life
in the colonie was hard. Everyone in the house helped
with chores. Even though the soil was poor most families
still tried to have farms.

Enough with the New england colonie and
now onto the Middle colonies. In the middle
the where put into classes and these classes
where very important to everyone there in the
colonie. They had 3 different classes. The rich
and best educated where know as the gentry.
Then there was the middle class who where
usually farmers or small merchants and then the
lower class witch where sailors and apprentices.

Early Colonizations
There is so much that I need to cover so I'm about
to do the best I can. Lets start with James town
1607. Disease and famine took a tremendous toll
on the population of the colony. Then on May 14,
in Virginia company explorers landed on
Jamestown to establish the Virginia English colony
on the river banks of James River. Then on June
1606 King James the first granted the virginia
company to establish a English settlement in the
Chesapeake region of North America. Now onto
Pilgrims, Puritans and Quakers. Lets start off with
Pilgrims. They are travelers who was on a journey
to a holy place.

History on the pilgrims, they are common in so
many religions such as ancient egypt, Persia in the
Mithraic period, India, China and Japan. Now about
Puritans, They were a group of english protestants
in the 16th and 17th centuries, including, but is not
limited to, English Calvinists. This group was
founded by some Marian Exiles. In modern times
Puritans mean against pleasure. But in history term
the word was used to characterized the group as
extremists. Then last there are the Quakers. Quakers
are members of the Religious Society of Friends, a
faith that emerged as a new Christian denomination in
England during a period of religious turmoil in the mid-
1600's and is practiced today in a variety of forms
around the world. To members of this religion, the
words "Quaker"and "Friend" mean the same thing.

Colonial government and documents
So I'm going to cover 3 different important
things you need to know. Like the Mayflower
Compact. The Mayflower compact was the first
governing document of plymouth colony. Then
there is this thing called the Virgina House of
Burgesses. Witch is and elected or appointed
offical of a municipality or the representative of
a borough. Now I'm going to tell you about the
Fundamental Orders of Connecticut. The
Fundamental Orders of Connecticut where
adopted by the Connecticut colony council on
January 14 1639. That was also my birthday.
Not really I'm only 13 and I was born in July.

Important people for developing self-
government
So there is about 4 main people who helped out
with developing self-government. There is Thomas
Hooker and he helped discover the the
fundamental orders of connecticut, which gave the
right to all men who owned land to vote. Then
there is this guy named Charles de Montesquiew
and he believed that all things are made up of rules
and or laws that never changed. He went out to
study these laws with the hope of knowledge of
laws of government would improve human lifes.

William Blacksmith was noted for writing the
commentaries on the laws of england. Then last
but not least there is William Penn he really just
sat back and watched. No, Just kidding he
granted colonist the right to elect representative
to the legislative assembly in 1702.
