A very, very, very long time ago, Unicorns would
control the sun. During the night, they would return
to Earth to sleep. But during the night-time, while
the Unicorns were sleeping, Humans would capture
them and keep them hostage because they thought
the Unicorns were dangerous even though they are
really harmless. To stop them from harming people,
they would chop their horns off. Once their horns
were removed, the people would use the Unicorns as
transport, like horses.
2

One day, a family of Unicorns were to have their
horns removed in Antarctica. These were the very
last Unicorns. The Unicorns lined up as the Humans
prepared to chop off their horns. The horns were
chopped off and thrown to the bottom of
Antarctica's deep waters. But as they were floating
down, they landed on the head's of a family of
whales.

4

It was like the horns were glued onto the
whales. They became Narwhals. The Narwhals
roamed Antarctica's freezing waters all year
round. And still do.

Splash Fact:
Narwhals can grow
up to 17 feet in
length.

6

Narwhals are very important as they are the
last part of Unicorns that we have left. But
they are Near Threatened because of Humans.
This is because they are majorly affected by
climate change and oil and gas development.

Splash Fact:
Narwhals are also
known as the
"Unicorn Of The
Ocean".
