Willy the whale is a baby sei whale, living in the antarctic ocean. Willy loves to eat plankton and play with his other sea friends like seals, fish, polar bears and especially other sei whales.

Every year, Willy's family follows a strict migration pattern throughout the year. Yet every year it seems to change. He sees less and less ice. Wondering why this happens, he asks his mom.

Willy, the ice is melting. As the earth gets hotter because of gasses, ice melts. And with less and less ice, it can not reflect the sun's rays, so more continues to melt. The ice is losing its albedo, its ability to reflect sun.

Willy shakes it off, and goes to hangout with his friends. But there are less of his tuna friends than usual.

Tuna! Where is the rest of your school? Don't they want to come and play?

Willy, something horrible has happened..a giant fishing boat has taken over 75% of our school. There are only two families in our entire school left. My mom said we will never be able to recover

So now we must travel the sea in search of a new school to join. To survive, for protection, food and our future, we must find another one.

Sad to see his friends go, Willy travels back home to his parents for dinner. They meet at the surface of the ocean for his favorite meal, plankton.

Once Willy gets there, he sees significantly less plankton than usual. And his parents seem very distraught. He is confused why every day, there seems to be less and less plankton, their main source of food.

Willy, our ocean is changing. As our water is getting warmer, the plankton can not handle it. They are dying so we must find new food. In the mean time we must ration our plankton.
