Princess Kehlani lives on a beautiful island in the middle of the sea. Her family loves being outside.  She spends most of her time on her pink boat. She loves going on adventures with her friends. They build sandcastles, scuba dive, and swim.

When the princess goes on her adventures, she always brings her best friend Mallarie. Mallarie is a sea turtle. Mallarie loves to spend time outside just like the princess.

Mallarie the sea turtle lives in the ocean by Princess Kehlani's island. She is usually a very happy sea turtle. She likes to keep her house nice and shiny for when her friends visit. When Princess Kehlani doesn’t visit Mallarie loves to swim to the princess’s boat each day to go on an adventure.

Today when Mallarie came to see Princess Kehlani on her pink boat, she was sad. Mallarie and her family are the only sea turtles left living by the princess's island, so they have to be very kind to their home. This is part of the reason why Mallarie likes to keep her home very clean.

Sea turtle Mallarie is very upset because when she went home last night her house was covered in trash. Plastic bottles and pop cans covered her home. These are bad for Mallarie’s home and can hurt her house or her family. There was so much trash Mallarie could not even sleep at home. She had to stay in the princess's guest house.
