This book is dedicated to my Grade 4 learners.

Once upon a time in the enchanting world of Polygonville, there were four extraordinary friends – Squarey the Square, Recty the Rectangle, Rhomy the Rhombus, and Trapo the Trapezoid.
They loved to play and learn together, and their favorite thing was solving shape mysteries.

One sunny day, as the Quadrilaterals were playing in the Shape Garden, they stumbled upon a magical book that spoke about a hidden treasure in the Land of Angles. The treasure was said to be guarded by a mischievous Shape Shifter who loved to rearrange shapes.

Excited by the prospect of a new adventure, the Quadrilaterals decided to embark on a quest to find the treasure. Their journey took them through the Quadrilateral Forest, where they encountered different challenges that tested their knowledge of sides and angles.

As the Quadrilaterals entered the Quadrilateral Forest, they encountered a talking tree named Poly. Poly asked them.
"Can you tell me how many sides and angles you each have?"

I have four equal sides and four right angles,
The Quadrilaterals confidently replied, explaining their unique features

I have four sides with opposite sides being equal and four right angles.

I have four equal sides with opposite angles being equal.
I have four sides with no specific equal measures of sides or angles.

With Poly's approval, the Quadrilaterals continued their journey. They faced challenges like the Angle Maze and the Side Swap, where the Shape Shifter tried to confuse them by altering their sides and angles.
