"What are we going to do today Momma?" said 

Ellie.

"I could take you swimming like you used to 

do with Pappa." said Momma.

"I would like that, but who is going to teach 

me how?" said Ellie.

"I can try to teach you, but I am not as good 

of a swimmer as your father was." said 

Momma.

"I can't, I can't," said Ellie.

"You can, just keep trying! You'll get it, you 

know what I always say?" said Momma.

"Practice makes perfect." said Ellie and 

Momma.

"But I don't know the first thing about swimming, 

and I was counting on dad to teach me." said Ellie.

"I know, but your father isn't with us anymore," 

said Momma.

"I know," said Ellie.

"Can we find somebody else to teach me?" asked 

Ellie.

"I'll see what I can do," said Momma.

"Hello, Mr. Harvey can I ask you a question?" 

said Momma.

"Sure," said Mr. Harvey.

"My daughter is having trouble learning how to 

swim, and needs help to learn how. Can you 

help us?" said Momma

"I would be happy to." said Mr. Harvey

"The first thing you need to know is never to 

give up." said Mr. Harvey

"Okay," said Ellie

"Now, just try to swim to your mom and know 

that either your mom or I will come in and get 

you if you can't swim or get scared." said Mr. 

Harvey

"Okay," said Ellie.
