Bluey is mad because her dad wont let her have her favorite food before bed. Her dads reasoning is because its too late but he promises that she can have one first thing in the morning before school. So now Bluey is looking forward to waking u so she tries to fall asleep as fast as possible.

So Bluey falls asleep and dreams about her favorite food, magical fruit salad. But before she fell asleep she remembered that in class she had been learning about the digestive system and little did she know that thought would take her mind on a wild adventure

Well lets go. Our first stop is the magical mouth

First there is the "magical mouth". The mouth starts the digestive process by using your teeth to breakdown food and that type of breakdown is called mechanical. And the saliva that comes from the salivary glands in your mouth, which contains amylase is what allows the saliva to do something known as chemical breakdown.

The next stop is the "phenomenal" pharynx or more commonly known as the throat.

Yep. The pharynx is where the food goes after the mouth and its only job in the digestive system is to send the food to the esophagus.

Throat

This is the "eccentric" esophagus. Its where the food from the throat gets sent to the stomach. There is a thing called a lower esophageal sphincter. It  is essentially a valve that closes and blocks the airway from the esophagus when your swallowing so that you don't choke.
