Once upon a time, there was a kingly lion. Everyone
feared the English lion, as it had awesome power. One
day, the lion noticed something strange...

But how could I make more?

The king lion pondered this for a moment.

...the king cried as an idea struck him.
He rushed off to put some citizens on a ship and
send them to a far away place, where there was
enough space and resources for every to be happy
(and maybe make him a little money) .

The people the king had put on the boat sailed long
and far, looking for what the king was hoping for.
The voyagers found exactly what they were looking for;
a land full of resource and promise. Once America's
foundation had been set, there was no stopping it. Soon
afterward, 13 British colonies were set up in America.

Tensions were high in America, as the Colonial
Americans had just won a war with the French and
Natives, giving them almost half of America.

The colonists rejoiced. They had been wanting to settle
the Ohio River Valley, a very fertile area around the Ohio
River that was previously controlled by the French. It
proved, however, to be disastrous. The Natives were
angry with how poorly the British were treating them in
comparison to the French. After an incident known as
Pontiac's Rebellion, about 2000 settlers were killed by
Natives.

Out of fear and care for the well-being of their people,
the king lion, namely King George III, issued the
Proclamation of 1763, stating that no one could settle
beyond the Appalachian Mountains.

This enraged the colonists. They had been put through
harsh conditions during the war with promises of new
land to settle once the British won the war. Now they
were having the only thing that kept them from rioting
taken away from them like *that*. The anger fed off of
itself. King George ordered 10,000 British soldiers to be
enforce the law and make sure no one made it past.

There weren't any fancy hotels back then, either. King
George had to pass the Quartering Act, stating that all
colonial homeowners had to house and feed any British
soldiers for as long as they needed. Even though the
colonists were angry, the British soldiers' use of Writs
of Assistance justified everything they did.

Totally not a
fake document

You have to. So haha.

Tensions only got higher. Needing money for various
reasons, the the King taxed goods such as paper, glass, and
even tea in the colonies without representing them in
Parliament. Usually the colonists would boycott the good
being taxed and make their own version until the British
relented. However, the conditions of taxes on tea got so
ridiculous that the bottled-up anger exploded. Several
colonists in Boston, while dressed as Native Americans for
affect, boarded trade ships full of tea and dumped over 300
crates of East India Company tea in to the Boston Harbor.
This event became known as the Boston Tea Party.
