Did you know that a lion's roar can be heard from 5 miles away? They use it to communicate. The next fact you are about to hear is going to blow you away. Did you know that some lions rest up to 20 hours a day and they are active at night?

Habitats
Lions live in grasslands and savanna. They are often called the " The King of The Jungle." Like I said they live in grasslands and savannas not Jungles. Some also live in dense scrubs, and open woodlands. They live in the continents such as Africa, Europe, and Asia.

Life Cycle
Lions live up to 8-10 years for the male. 15-16 years for the female, but lions could live up to 25 years in captivity. There are three phases of growing up for Lions, mating phase, juvenile phase, and adult phase. They live the amount years of a dog.

PHYSICAL FEATURES
The Head and body,4.5 to 6.5 feet and the tail, 26.25 to 39.5 inches. Lions are very big animals and are the second largest cat species in the world. They are 48 inches from up to the shoulder.

Lions are a Carnivore, so they have a diet of meat. Prey animals for Lions include antelopes, buffaloes, zebras, and young elephants. Lions eat 7kgs of food a day and lionesses eat 4.5kgs of food a day.
