Thank you to my fellow writers, whose words ignite my imagination, whose encouragement fuels my resolve, and whose camaraderie makes this journey a shared adventure. Your inspiration and support at the first Quoddy Writer's Retreat in Lubec, Maine is nothing short of amazing. Thank you Ralph Fletcher and Georgia Heard for setting the stage to embrace ourselves as writers.

Two empty chairs sit by the restless sea,
Gray skies above, one for you, one for me
Waves crash fierce, the world is feeling old,
Yet from my tender heart, a story will be told.
Hope whispers softly through the salty air,
Promise of impending days beyond despair.
Blue skies freckled, bright and wide,
Butterflies dance, shorebirds glide.
Two empty chairs, one silent plea,
Horizons of better days, one for you, one for me.
Whispers of Hope
Hush of morning's supple embrace,
Frog finds solace in a quiet place.
Amid the reeds, where soft winds sigh,
Content to watch the world go by.
No need for chatter, no call to roam,
The stillness here feels like her home.
Eyes half-closed, in silent grace,
The pond reflects a tranquil face.
The world may spin in frantic dance,
But at this moment, not left to chance.
For in the reeds, with sky above,
Silence enough, and enough is love.
Enough

By the sea, where waves meet sky, a woman stands with arms held high.
Whispered songs on salty breeze, view could bring you to your knees.
Sea reflects her bold embrace, its waves like words in rhythmic grace.
Each wave a story, each tide a chance. To love, to write, to fearless dance.
Her pen dips into ocean's ink, where dreams and risks converge and sink.
She writes of love, of loss, and gain, of heart's deep joy and fleeting pain.
Monarchs flit, harbor seals dance. Tidal watcher takes a chance,
Arms extended to the sea, she writes her story, wild and free.
