In the kingdom of Bacilland, a castle full of might stood, Peptidocastle. It had strong walls made of peptidoglycan bricks.

Queen Beta ruled the Gram-positive castle. Sadly not too far, the Antibiotic Empire had mean plans to hurt the castle. The leader of such an empire, General Lactam, planned to bring the castle to its knees

One morning, a package appeared outside the castle gates—a giant wooden pill! The villagers thought of it as a peace offering, while Queen Beta hesitated. She believed it could be a trick but allowed it through due to the villagers' excitement.

That same night, the pill started to open, and out came the Empire's beta-lactams, ready to destroy the peptidoglycan walls!

“These walls are no match for us!” whispered the beta-lactams as they started breaking apart the castle’s defenses.
