Once upon a time there
was a small town in Italy,
where a girl lived in a
small neighborhood with
her parents. She showed
great creativity in
everything that she did.

Elizabeth loved to read "The
Divine Comedy" by Dante and
anything that had to do with
nature. She spent most of
her time in her room painting.
She loved art and the
techniques. Devoted young
lady.

She had amazing
abilities. But her
parents wanted her to
pursue different
dreams like to take
over the parents
business and keep it
growing.
That following year
she made a drastic
decision.

Elizabeth decides to go to
Paris and find her career and
future in the area of painting.
Her dream is to become a
famous artist and seek
knowledge from the greatest
painters like Giotto, Leonardo
Da Vinci, Michelangelo,
Brunelleschi and many others.
She thought that being in
Paris and visiting the art
museums would somehow get
her closer to her dream.

When Elizabeth saw
the entrance, she
couldn't believe it! She
was here and she was
so excited. When she
read there was all
kinds of renaissance
paintings she was
amazed. She thought,
"Wow. I hope most
people know that
renaissance is a
rebirth about an idea
of man, not the
rebirth of man" And
how does she know
this, Oh because of all
the reading she has
done, of course.

There is all kinds of amazing paintings
from the artists Elizabeth wished all her
life to see. Many different paintings.
Some of them show the renaissance
period from a christian perspective and
others show it by putting man at the
center of all things.

Elizabeth went to visit
"The David" which was a
great experience. She
saw how much talent
Michelangelo had and
how high he thought
about man. That man is
an independent and
autonomous creature and
we are the most
intelligent. Michelangelo
knew about God but he
stuck to his own
worldview. He was an
engineer, painter and
sculptor.

Elizabeth also runs into these
paintings of Masaccio Masolino. They
show how in this time period every
painter based their painting on their
worldview. They showed what they
believed to be true. There is all kinds
of paintings because there was many
different worldviews going on at the
same time.
