The Last Shogun, the lionized Toyotomi Hideyoshi, had died
in battle during his infamous conquest to conquer China.
Now, beyond the grave, he was a prisoner of Ghostown
because of the vile deeds that he did as a human. Ghostown
was a version of Hell that was reserved for those who had
killed more than 50 people in their lifetimes. Many of
Toyotomi Hideyoshi's samurai and archers were already
there, and had stories of how to get out of there. Hideyoshi's
head samurai, Date Bontenmaru, told Hideyoshi about the
road from their current location to the exit of Ghostown. The
journey would only take 5 days to complete, but as soon as
you started, you would be besieged be monsters. Also, if
you died at the hands of the beasts, you would become one
of them until you are defeated. The monsters along the path
were converted prisoners of the first beast.

Bontenmaru organized the troops so that they
could depart the very next day. In the morning,
the small army set across the banal landscape.
Within the hour, they were attacked by three
churlish demons with heads of octopuses and the
bodies of griffons. Hideyoshi ordered an attack, and
the archers sent a deadly hail of arrows into the
midst of the pack. The trio fell, and the warriors
saw a white spirit rise up from each corpse. The
souls flew away, and the bodies disintegrated.
Hideyoshi and his troops bowed their heads in
reverence. Hideyoshi said, "We have freed three
tormented souls. It is our duty to release the
rest and escape ourselves." After a minute of
respectful silence, the force moved away and
countinued their odyssey. From then on, they
marched onward through the blank fields of Hell.
They were attacked every thirty minutes by
increasingly more powerful enemies.

However, whenever his samurai tired, Hideyoshi
himself would slice through the hordes and inspire
them with his aura of endless willpower, strength and
perseverance. Because of Hideyoshi's unceasing
leadership and galvanizatio, the undead warriors
managed to cover four days' worth of traveling and
fighting in one. If one wanted to take the path
they had taken, all he would have to do was follow
the trail of carnage. They rested for a day, then
advanced to see what their final albatross was.
The samurai went forward and saw their final
enemy: a momentous animal awaited them: a
silver bear with bristles on its back that were like
mountains. The bear towered over the entire
land, and looked as if its enormous head
penetrated through the sky.
