Across the sea, there was a big country named Russia.
They finished the war and said it was “Time for a break,
yeah?”
But there was a dark cloud that rolled over the land.
The people began fighting, though it wasn’t planned.
They were sick and tired of being fooled.
They wanted to change how the country was ruled.
On the 8th of March 1917, they marked the streets with
their tread.
Demanding that the rich give them their bread.

The army was called to calm people down.
But the angry citizens kept wrecking the town.
The soldiers’ goal was to stop the uprising.
But the fires in people’s heart kept igniting.
The soldiers opened fire upon the crowds.
But the people kept voicing their opinion out
loud.
The soldiers ended up failing their orders.
The people’s spirits knew no borders.

The word spread across the land.
A coup d’état was in demand.
More and more people became excited.
The growing number of rebels were delighted.
Workers destroyed the hated police stations.
They chanted the cry, “Give us back our
nation.”
The ignorant government seemed so heartless
But the people’s march remained truly
dauntless

This cry for change was filled with emotion.
It didn't take long, for the soldiers to change
their position.
Minute by minute, both sides joined hands.
The army ignored the government’s
commands.
Together they marched their voices as one.
They knew they had a war to be won.
The government was ignored and ignored.
Till they couldn't stay in office any more.

Their efforts lasted so long.
Thousands of people joined in their song.
So, you see, many are better than one.
Their winning tide had just begun.
Hand in hand they walked through the cities.
They wanted change, nothing to do with pity.
The imperial government they wanted to
defeat.
Slowly raised up their hands, running away in
retreat.

Nicholas the 2nd was beginning to worry.
His advisers told him to leave the throne in
hurry.
The people demanded “Down with the Tsar”.
They wanted him out, away, and far.
At first he thought this to just be drone.
But soon he could not keep his throne.
So Nicholas the 2nd stopped ruling the nation.
The people had won this inside invasion.

There was peace until a man named Vladimir
Lenin came about.
He told people of his plans to kick the government
out.
He planned a coup against the government.
On November 7th he decided to begin his
judgment.
He led the Leftist Revolutionaries.
There were nearly no casualties.
The Bolsheviks had won.
There revolution was now done.
