It is Monday morning my mom woke me up to go to school. This day was my best day. Our science teacher will show us a model of a time-machine.
With full of excitement I went out of the bed, put on my cloth, took my breakfast in a hurry and went to school.
Our science session was the last one. I was anxious to see this machine and imagine that it is a real one and I could use it one day. Finally the last session began we went to the science lab.

There was the time-machine standing beside the teacher's desk. Miss Sara explained us how it could be worked. The session ended so fast and the bell rang to leave home. But I couldn't leave the class and went inside the time-machine and tried to use it. I always dream of being in the time of the Sumer and live in that time.
Without any body seeing me, I used in it and turned in to the year of 3500 BC, which is the time of the Sumerian civilization. I was happy about going there.

Suddenly the time-machine worked and in few seconds I was no more in my class but in another strange place. When I sobered up from the shock I saw something very strange, I saw the ziggurat of the Sumer which is a steps pyramid. When I was walking around I saw their houses it was made out of mud bricks. The sumerians were looking at me in a strange way. Because I wore strange cloth than them the Sumerians insisted on sending me to their king who was (Gilgamish Of Uruk). In fact every city-state had its own king and ruler. The most famous king was Gilgamesh of Uruk who was the subject of the Epic of Gilgamesh, one of the world's oldest surviving

works of literature. The king first interrogated me about who I am and how did I reach this land. Both of us were shocked. So I just told him that I was lost from my tribe. The king promised me that he will show me everything in the Sumerian Civilization.
While we were touring he told me that the Sumerians are thought to have formed the first human civilization in world history. He also told me that they lived in southern Mesopotamia, between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers in the Middle East.

The king told me that their ancestors first moved as nomads that started building small villages which slowly turned into large towns. Eventually these cities developed into the civilization of the Sumer.
He then talked to me about leadership. Each city-state has its own ruler. A ruler was like a king or a governor. A ruler of a city was often high priest of the religion as well. This gave him even more power.
