Who is Plato?
Plato was born in 428BCE and died in 348BCE. He was an important greek philosopher who was influenced by socrate. Plato founded the academy in Athens, one of the first institutions of higher learning in the Western world. his works on philosophy and politics were very influential, he traveled for 12 years to study after socrates's death.

Plato's 7 central ideas
Plato's philosophy was written to approach a topic in many different ways. He would often revisit his own central ideas and provide more ways to examine and rethink the given topic.

1. Think Harder
Plato wanted to bring order and clarity to our minds because we almost never give ourselves the time to think. Plato believed that it was better to think our decision thoroughly than siding with our emotions.

2. Love More Wisely
In Plato's eyes he believed that opposites attracted better to help balance each other out. He thought that it wasn't true love if you didn't believe in helping the other improve and grow to their full potential.

3. The Importance of Beauty
Plato believed that beauty made people happy, he sees beauty more as a feeling instead of a definition. Beauty has no definition it's something you feel but in the end no one defines beauty.

4. We Need New Heroes
Plato wanted a better society. He thought that if we had more wiser and respectful people we wouldn't need wars.
