President Obama is dedicated to protecting the environment: the land, water, and air. He is using his federal agencies to help make a difference in the environment.
2
The President has established the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009 that helps conserve the land and water. It has designated more than 2 million acres of federal wilderness, thousands of miles of trails, and protected more than 1,000 miles of rivers. Also, outdoor recreation supports 6.1 million jobs across the nation and visits to public land and waters added more than $50 billion to the economy.
3
I support the President's decisions. It is important to protect the environment and do all that we can to preserve it. Obama is not only protecting the land through his decisions, but he is also helping the economy
4
Helping the Economy
One way that the President's plans are helping the economy is that it is keeping jobs available. For example, America's oceans and coastal regions provides tens of millions of jobs for people. Also private sectors can bring high-paying jobs that cannot be outsourced. This is why around western non-metro counties' per capita income increases when there is more protected public land in the area. Spending to keep these jobs open will only be helpful short term and long term. The jobs will help the economy flow. It is important for this to continue for the future, so that jobs will be available and it will also keep the environment well.

Helping the Economy Pt. 2
Another way Obama's plans are helping the economy is that it is raising millions and millions of dollars. For example, America's oceans and coastal regions contribute trillions of dollars a year to the national economy. Over $50 billion has been added to the economy in just one fiscal year because of people visiting public lands and waters. This is like distribution of income. His plans help keep the money circling, which is crucial for the economy. For short term, there will be jobs which is beneficial for the economy. For long term, the environment will continue to prosper. The federal spending is going to good use to make sure people are able to visit places like the waters and lands.

Helping the Economy Pt. 3
The President is taking action to ensure America's waters are clean every day for drinking, swimming, and fishing. This not only helps us, but also the economy. The partnerships and programs help improve the water quality and water efficiency. This can impact the economy as well. The efficiency is important because if the water is being wasted then that means money is being lost. It is important that the water is being efficiently used, which will help save money. There will not be a waste of water or money. A short term benefit is that people will have clean water. Hopefully clean water is a long term benefit as well. The efficiency will help the economy be successful in the future.
7
The President is making necessary changes to help save the air, land, and water. His ideas are successful because they not only help the environment, but they also help the economy. His ideas use the most efficient and resourceful ways to help make a difference that will last for generations. With his plans, however, it is still important to have a spending cap on certain areas.
