Hi, my name is Mr. Vega. I was a school bus driver for almost ten years.

During that time I learned some pretty cool things.

FYI:

Every year school bus drivers must complete many hours of rigourus professional training and they must be re-certified every 3 years.

This was my bus.

There are about 450,000 school buses just like mine on the road each school day.

Together they transport nearly 24 million students to and from school.

Safety tip: If you MUST cross the street, make sure the driver can see you and wait for his or her signal. If you drop something under, or near, the bus NEVER try to get it until the bus is gone and it is safe.

They cover about 4.3 billion miles daily

That's the equivalent of flying round trip from Earth to Mars twice.
