We are all currently Juniors in high school and go to West Career and Technical Academy. All three of us are in the Sports Medicine program and hope to someday have a career in that field. We made this book to try and educate elementary school kids about colors and how they work. We hope that this book taught you something you didn't already know! Enjoy!!

It was a Tuesday morning, but no ordinary Tuesday morning as little Brandon knew he was going to learn about colors at school today!

Little Brandon arrived at school and sat down ready to learn. His teacher said they were going to learn about colors today! This made him very excited.

The teacher asked a question that nobody seemed to know the answer to. "Why is the sky blue?" The class did not know the real answer and was now eager to learn.

She then explained that all colors come from white light and are separated into colors later. Most of these colors are seen when they reach earth.

He then said how light in the sky scatters from particle to particle so we can see it. "It is blue because of the waves it travels in. Blue has more frequent waves than other colors. Violet is the only other color that is more frequent, but we cannot see it well, so we simply see blue!"

"Aha!" the student said as they began to understand. Now they they knew why they sky is blue, the teacher threw another question at them.

"Why are sunsets red?"
