Hello! My name is Eli! I am going to talk to you about how to keep our Earth green!

But wait, what does keeping our Earth green even mean?

Going green means to live life as an individual and as a community in a way that is friendly to the natural environment.

There are many different things you can do to help save the environment and go green. I am going to explain to you some of the things you can do.

Recycle, Reduce, Reuse!

Recycling is very important when you are throwing stuff away. Recycling saves money and many of the earth's natural resources. Resources such as paper, plastic, cardboard, and glass can be recycled.

Turning on lights is as easy as flipping a light switch. It is important to make sure to turn off the lights when you leave your house or room! This saves electricity. Electricity comes from power plants which burn fuel and use heat to run a machine that creates energy. The electricity runs through power lines which gets to our homes.

It is also important to save water! You can do this by taking shorter showers and turning off the water when you are brushing your teeth. Also, make sure your family is not running the dishwasher or washing machine until they are full!
