Foreign invaders such as bacteria, protozoa, prion, helminth, virus, and fungus attack your body to make you sick.
For example, Frank was attacked by an influenza type B virus.
But don't worry Frank!

Frank's body has defenses to fight off foreign invaders.
Frank's body has non-specific defense such as the skin, nose hair, inflammation, and mucus.
For example, the mucus is a viscous fluid that can trap pathogens.

I engulf and absorb foreign invaders such as bacteria, small cells, and particles.

In Frank's body, there are also specific defenses such as antibodies, phagocytes, B-cells, and T-cells, which our body produce to fight off foreign invaders.
