2 Chainz did not become popular in music until his mid 30s. He was born in College Park, Georgia on September 12 1976. When he was young he was the only child in his family and his dad was in and out of jail so his mom raised him herself. In college he was six feet five inches and went to the University of Alabama State on a basketball scholarship.
