A is for alligator!
Alligators are dark green, and have sharp teeth. They can grow to 500 pounds! They have a very long mouth and sharp teeth, which helps them eat their food. They live in a place called a swamp! There are many swamps in Florida. Swamps are filled with shallow water and lots of wet plants and trees.

B is for bunny!
Bunnies, or rabbits, live in places like forests, grasslands, and deserts! There are many different kinds of rabbits. Some have long hair for cold places, and some have short hair, for warm places! All bunnies have very long ears, which helps them hear things that are really far away!

C is for cheetah!
Cheetahs live in areas called grasslands. Grasslands are filled with lots of dry grass and a few trees. Cheetahs are very fast, they can run up to 75 miles per hour! They have lots of brown or black spots all over!

D is for duck!
Ducks live in all kinds of places! They need to live in areas with water and land. You probably have seen ducks in your local park! Ducks have webbed feet to help them swim fast, and their water resistant feathers help them stay dry and warm in the sometimes icy cold water.

E is for elephant!
Elephants are the biggest land animal! Even their babies weight 200 pounds! Elephants live in a area called a savanna. Savannas are filled with dry grass, and a few trees, along with some ponds full full of water.

F is for fish!
There are over 30,000 species of fish in the world! Fish can live anywhere that there is water. Some live in the ocean, some live in the lake, and some live in ponds!

G is for goat!
Goats live in biomes called taigas. Taigas are biomes with snow and big pine trees! Goats can have long horns, and have hooves.

H is for hippo!
Hippos live by or in grasslands, and are always near water. Most of the time they are seen in ponds and rivers. Hippos are very big animals, they weight 3,000-4,000 pounds!

I is for iguana!
Iguanas live in aquatic biomes, such as tropical rain forests. Rain forest are areas with lots of moisture and lots of trees, and are home to many animals. Iguanas are bright green.

J is for jellyfish
Jellyfish live in the ocean. Their long stingers can be very dangerous, but they help them capture their prey. Like humans, some jellyfish are very big, and some are very small!

K is for kangaroo!
Kangaroos live in the forests of Australia. Females have a pouch on their stomach to carry their baby's called, joeys! Kangaroos have very strong legs, which help them jump high and far!

L is for lion!
Lions live in places called safaris! Safaris are dry with tall grass, and are the home to many animals! Lions have sharp teeth because they are carnivores, which means they only eat meat!

M is for moose!
Moose live in taiga biomes and sometimes tundra biomes! Taiga biomes are very cold with lots of snow and trees, and Tundras are very similar, they are cold too!

N is for numbat!
Numbats live in the woods and in forests. They mostly eat termites, and they get them by using their very long tongues!

O is for orangutan!
Orangutans are very smart animals, and are the longest tree-dwelling animals on Earth. They live in the Tropical Rainforest.

P is for penguin!
Penguins live in the Antarctic where it is very cold and most of the land and water is covered in ice and snow. Penguins carry their babies on their feet, waddling around!
