Once upon a time in the arctic lived a family of jewish penguins.

Mama penguin was named Mary and papa penguin was named Jordan. Mary and Jordan had a son named Danny.

The family of penguins were getting ready for hanukkah. But Danny was a young penguin and he did not understand what hanukkah was about.

When Mary was young she also had the same question as Danny, Mary’s mother had a story book to explained hanukkah to her. So Mary decided to get the book out and read Danny the story.

A long time ago in Israel in the city of Jerusalem where was a beautiful temple. Where the jewish animals would come to pray and conection with god.

One day the King of Sirha took over Israel and made it so that no one could have their own beliefs. So he made the jewish animals give up their religion, well he tried to at least.

The king did not want there to be jewish temples because that was not part of his religion. So he had all the temples converted into his religion or he would have them destroyed.

The jewish animals who would not convert to the king's religion would be punished.
