The Proclamation of 1763 was issued in 1763.
This Proclamation forbade colonist to settle west of the Appalachians.
The colonist were angry because they had fought for that land and now the
couldn't use it.
The British government were angry with the colonist because they didn't have
the money to pay the
soldiers to stay over seas.


This act was passed in 1765.
The act REQUIRED that colonist had to house
and supply soldiers.
Most troops were command to stay in New
York



The Stamp Act was passed in 1765.
This act REQUIRED legal and commercial
documents to carry an official stamp to show
that all taxes had been paid. All diplomas,
contracts, and wills had to carry a stamp.
Even newspaper had to be written on special
stamped paper.



This act was passed in 1767.
First it suspended New York's assemblies until
they agreed to provide housing for troops.
Second it placed import tax on various groups
brought into the colonies.
Many of the taxes was for the salaries of the
British governors and other officials.



The Boston massacre happened on March 5,
1773.
Was when soldiers came into Boston harbor.
Then soldiers started to shoot after tension
broke out.
Four laborers were killed



Was passed on May 10,1773.
It was mostly for the prop up of the East India
company which had 18 million pounds of
unsold tea.
This tea was suppose to be shipped directly to
the colonies and sold for a bargain price.




The Boston tea party happened on November
29,1773.
People went to the harbor and dumped all the
tea overboard into the sea.
The ships are usually mistaken for British
ships, but they are really the East India
company's ships.




These acts were passed in 1774.
Was passed to punish Massachusetts and warn
other colonies.
One it would close Boston Harbor until the tea
was paid off, alowed Britain to house troops
whenever necessary, and let British officials
accuse crimes in the colonies and and stand a
trial in Britain


This happened on April 19, 1775.
This was the first battle of the revolution.
