Once upon a time, there was a beautiful girl named Ella. She lived in a mansion with her father, mother, and two sisters. Ella was so kind and so full of courage that her father gave her a gift. He told her that he would give her whatever she wanted, and Ella was very thankful, even though she never wanted much. Her sisters were very jealous. They wanted their fathers gift to Ella, but could not prove themselves worthy. Ella and her father were happy, but one day, Ella's father received a very important message.

Ella's father received a message that told him that the place where he kept all his money was closing, and if he didn't get there soon, he would lose it all. So he said goodbye to his family, and went away. Ella was very sad to see him go, but she knew he would return soon. She returned to be kind and she had lots of things to cheer her up. She had lots of courage that her father would retrieve the money before it was lost.

Ella may have been cheered up, but her father hadn't. He was very sad to be away from his family, and very nervous to find out if he would get his money. Everyone on his ship tried to cheer him up, but no one could. Ella's father had a very strange feeling that something would go very wrong, and he could barley breathe.

Ella's fathers suspicion was proved correct. One day, when they were just about to reach shore, the ship caught on fire from a huge storm. Everyone jumped overboard to save themselves, including Ella's father. Since he never reached the place were the money was held, he couldn't get the money. Word was sent to his family, and Ella was very sad that her father was gone, but all her family cared about was the money.

Since they lost their money, they couldn't afford to keep their big house, and had to move into a tiny house in a field. Since they didn't have any servants anymore, they made Ella work. And since there weren't enough beds, they made Ella sleep by the fireplace, and called her Cinderella. Even though she went through all of this, she still had courage and was kind.

Many months had passed, and Ella grew even more beautiful. One day, there was a knock at the door. Ella answered it, and found a palace guard. He handed her an pretty envelope with a rose on it. She thanked him, went inside, and opened the letter. It said, Dear subjects, It is my honor to invite every eligible maiden to my ball. Any girl that is the age of 16 or older may attend, by order of the king. I look forward to seeing you tonight. -The Prince. Ella rushed to tell her mother. Her mother screamed and told her to go buy three dresses. Since her mother wouldn't have a dress made for her, she decided to make her own dress.

After Ella finished her chores and brought home the dresses, she created a nice blue dress for herself. She slipped it on, and looked in the tattered, old mirror in her room. She saw a beautiful young girl. She smiled and went downstairs. Her mother was very mad that Ella had made a dress. She and her daughters were standing outside when Ella came out. Just before the carriage got there, they threw mud at Ella. Then they hopped in the carriage when it came and happily rode away.

Royal Carriage

Ella ran to the back yard and cried. As soon as her first tear hit the ground, a lady appeared out of nowhere. Ella asked her who she was and the lady told her that it didn't matter. Without saying another word, the mysterious lady changed a pumpkin into a carriage, mice into horses, lizards into footman and a driver, and last but not least, she made Ella's dirty dress into a magnificent ball gown, complete with glass slippers. The woman helped Ella into the carriage and said one last thing. "When the clock strikes midnight, everything that I have changed will change back into what it was before". When Ella turned to thank her, she was gone.

Ella was late for the ball, so when she walked in the ball had already begun and the prince was choosing his first dance partner. When Ella walked in, the princes eyes fell on her. He walked over to her and asked her to dance with him and she said yes. They danced around the ball room. The girl was so beautiful, he ended up asking her to dance with him the whole night. Of course, she accepted! After a while, the prince took Ella somewhere he had never taken anyone before. To his Secret Garden.
