"We the People of the United States"

To me it means the people living in the U.S.A. Its the people who wanted freedom from England. Who didn't want to have one leader to rule them, they wanted to do things their own way.

"in Order to form a more perfect Union"

To me means the government was not perfect.The founding fathers set out with the goal to one, a union between all the colonies so that the common good and defense is provided for and domestic tranquility and prosperity could follow. Alone each of the colonies were vulnerable to attack. They could not provide for their defense. So they formed a union between them so that they could win their independence.

"Establish Justice"

To have fairness of law. To have equal trials like John Adams stood up for the soldiers for the Boston Massacre. The right for every citizen to be protected as to life, liberty and property.

"Insure domestic Tranquility"

Means the government has a duty to maintain law to keep peace with the help of the government. To provide protection for all its citizens.

"Provide for the common defense"

It signifies one of the reasons that the individual states are banding together in a union: to provide an effective, unified military force to protect all of the states together (as opposed to each state fielding it's own military to protect itself independently).

"Promote the general Welfare,"

To care for the People in the U.S.A. To make sure that every U.S citizen is healthy, safe, and happy.

Secure the Blessing of Liberty

Means that the people of the United States remain free to do as they wish without harm. It limits the power of the government
