Halogens like to be in pairs of two, for being alone simply won't do!

With only 7 electrons, they are unstable and mad.

But when they are with thier pair, it's not so bad.

All of the halogens have a bond that's not hard to find.

All but Astatine, who thinks they've all lost thier minds!

He dosen't see why they need another to be happy.

To Astatine it's nothing but sappy!

He sees the chlorine bonds hug and smile.

But he dosen't see why, and is confused all the while.

He asks Flourine, who says he'll know in time.

And Bromine and Iodine tell him a similar line.

But Astatine dosen't want a bond with anyone.

He'd much rather be alone! He says it's way more fun!

But he seems to be the only one, and this makes him frown.
