Flash had dreamed about becoming a runner ever since he started 4th grade. When he got done with his homework and had free time, he would go outside with his friends and run blocks around their village to see who is the fastest. Flash enjoyed every minute racing with his friends, whether he won or not. He didn't really care if he won, he just cared that he got to have fun with his friends doing some interests they all enjoyed doing.

Then, during his first year of middle school, Flash decided to join the school's cross country team. They would practice and train almost every day before and after school for about a month. The competition would occur the day after the last practice after school which was on a Friday.

The week before the competition, Flash had a minor injury in PE/gym class playing soccer. One of Flash's friends kicked his knee trying to prevent a goal that Flash was very close to making. Therefore, Flash fell down trying to score a goal.

After school practice that day was fine for the first few minutes. Unfortunately, when the runners had to sprint pass hurdles on the track, Flash didn't jump at the right time from one of the hurdles to the last hurdle. He ended up falling down, causing his knee to scrape on the track and bleed.

The cross country coach told him to go to the school nurse to get a bandage and clean up all the blood on the scraped knee. Flash did just what the coach told him to do and asked him parents to pick him up from practice that day.
